I have often wondered..............

I have often wondered why people just are not nice anymore. It takes no more effort to smile at someone than to frown. Introducing yourself to a neighbor doesn't cost anything. Being brave enough to stay open is tricky in today's paranoid society. Simple niceness isn't practiced much anymore. Offering to do a friend a favor, or a complete stranger for that matter. Cooking a new mother a meal so that she can concentrate on her new baby. Just a little thank you to a spouse that always has things under control. It really isn't difficult once you get into the practice of giving.
